Trans Fat Rant!

Story While I agree that trans fat is bad for us, I've got to chuckle at how the marketing people have leveraged it into a nationwide trans fat panic.  Seeing the "No Trans Fat" on products like potato chips and Doritos gives the impression that they're somehow "good" for you.  Puleeeese!
And some of the fast-food joints are proudly waving the "No Trans Fat" flag too.  Is the general public that gullible?  The marketing people seem to capitalize on that fact.  It reminds me of the KFC commercials telling us that their fried chicken is healthy.
Trans fat used to be known as "hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oil".  I guess "trans fat" is a catchier name for marketing.  Here's a good explanation of several types of fats - good and bad.
Yes, we should avoid trans fats... but sheesh!  There is so much more to a healthy lifestyle than panicking over trans fats.
